Event venues

Reserved venues and newly opened dates can move forward.

Venue dates are often secured well in advance. When an event is canceled or postponed, or when a Venue releases Late Availability, that reserved time can become a real opportunity for another event.

How it works

How canceled venue opportunities work

A venue reservation may represent far more than a room. It can include a committed date, guest capacity, setup windows, catering relationships, equipment, accommodation or other event infrastructure.

When the original plans change, the Seller may make the transferable part of that reservation visible. A Buyer can review the date, location, prepaid value and relevant terms before deciding whether the opportunity fits.

Venues can also list Late Availability directly. That makes newly open dates visible without suggesting that every venue opportunity began with a cancellation.

Business + personal events

Where this kind of opportunity can fit.

The original event does not always define the only future use. Any new use still depends on the actual scope, terms and Vendor approval.

Conferences, summits and company off-sites

Launches, receptions and client events

Awards dinners, galas and holiday parties

Birthdays, anniversaries and engagement parties

Bar and bat mitzvahs and family celebrations

Reunions, memorial gatherings and private events

Questions

Venues FAQ

What is a canceled venue opportunity?

It is a venue reservation or reserved date that may still be usable after the original event plans changed.

Can the new event be different from the original event?

Often that may be possible, but it is not automatic. The Venue decides what uses fit its space, terms and operating requirements.

Can venues list open dates directly?

Yes. Late Availability allows a Venue to make newly opened dates or capacity visible without a previous customer transfer.

Does taking over a venue reservation mean the whole event is paid for?

No. The Asking amount relates to the opportunity shown. Buyers may still owe the Venue or other Vendors under the applicable agreements.
